Comp Tickets - Box Office & Spark

This release includes updates to several ticketing features, the return of a much-requested option, improvements to the Site Map, a new function for homepage content management, tweaks to the user creation tool, and a handful of improvements.

Welcome to 6.7!

Ticket Landing Page with horizontal scrolling tickets

Updated Ticket Landing Page

We've optimized the page that your customers land on when they click the ACCESS TICKETS button from their emailed receipts or View Tickets from the website for mobile devices.

We know that viewing one ticket at a time during an event is best for your scanning staff and to prevent the possibility of scanning the wrong ticket, we've simplified the display of tickets by grouping them by product, adding a count of tickets per product, adding previous/next ticket buttons, and adding the ability to swipe between tickets just like in your Apple Wallet.

Site Map Updates

Site Map Subpanel: You can still access your Homepage Features, Website Header and Website Footer directly from the Site Map, but we've moved these links to the right side so that your site pages appear higher on the screen. This is also intended to clarify that these tools & pages are not, by default, included in the main navigation.

You can minimize each section of the subpanel by clicking the lighter-blue bar above the buttons, and you can quickly open preview windows of these pages by clicking the 'square & arrow' icon.

Page preview: Like the pages in the subpanel, every page of the Site Map which can be previewed now has the same 'square & arrow' icon on the far right. This is a quick way to see the page as it appears to the public.

Actions Dropdown: We've added bulk actions for managing your pages. Now you unlist/list or deactivate/activate multiple pages simultaneously. Also, the unlist/list option has been added to the hover menu for each page.

Icon Key: We've moved this helper to the top of the Site Map page. You can hide the key and it will remain hidden each time you return to the Site Map until you choose to unhide it.

NEW: Copying Homepage Features

Using the new Copy tool on each of your homepage features is a quick way to make modifications to an existing schedule for different dates. All of the events, businesses or features are duplicated. This makes it easy to change some of the content in a list without needing to rebuild the entire list.

User Creation Updates

Location in Spark: TOOLS > USERS
When you add a new User, you will see a new workflow that will make it easier for you to know what steps must be taken to register each type of user in the system. The user type options now include: Admin, SaffireTix, & Standard User

Product Editor Updates

Location: COMMERCE > PRODUCTS; hover over product >  Edit

We've updated the Ticket Face tab within the Product Editor to now show more accurate data for your tickets. The Ticket Face preview will pull in information from your the General and Sales tab of the editor to display Ticket Date, Price Type, and Price of the Ticket in the preview to give a true representation of what your customers will see.

NOTE: if you don't have any price type/price available, we will show the first batch information from the Inventory & Codes tab. If there is no relevant information at all, it will display as it previously did with the words "Price Type" and "$0.00" respectively.

Price Type Descriptions

We've heard your feedback and added in descriptions to Reserved Price Types on the Online Sales Channel. When your customer selects their seat, they will see the information hover to provide them with a description that you can control within the Product Editor on the Sales Tab.

Comp Tickets - in Box Office and Spark

You've asked, and we listened! When we released Order Management, we had to reevaluate how your orders are organized and reported. In our initial release, we removed the COMP option for Box Office and through the Manage Seats Tool. We heard how important this tool was for you and have reintroduced the COMP option that will zero out the price of the ticket you've added to the cart. It will look similar to what you were used to seeing in the Manage Seats tool:

What's NEW is that you can now use this same tool in Web Box Office. We've added an additional User Permission; If enabled, this permission allows users to comp orders. When logged in as a user that has the ability to comp an order out of Box Office, you'll see the same COMP functionality as a method of completing the transaction!
